On 14 June 2014, the Consulate-General in Guangzhou, joined ASEAN Friendship Bowling Games 2014 at the Tianhe Bowling Hall, TianheSport  Centre, Guangzhou. The event was organised by the Consulate General of Indonesia in Guangzhou.  

          After the opening remarks by Mr. AnakAgungGde Alit Santhika, the Consul-General of Indonesia, all the 15 teams from 6 ASEAN countries (Indonesia  Laos  Malaysia  Philippines  Singapore and Thailand) started playing and competed for the highest scores. Thailand’s teams were led by Mrs. SuphatraSrimaitreephithak, Consul-General to Guangzhou, with the Consulate’s officials and trainees joining. 

The rest of consulate’s staff and family members enjoyed cheering for their countries with sharing potluck food and beverage during the event.

The event was very successful as a venue to casually meet and network at all levels among the diplomatic community of  ASEAN countries.The ASEAN Consulatesin Guangzhoupromote and take turn to organise events to strengthen relations among the ASEAN diplomatic community in Guangzhou all year round.
