Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow gives Moldovan businessmen business confidence

     On May 13, 2014, H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation with accreditation to the Republic of Moldova, received a courtesy call of Mr. Anatol Fortuna, Vice Director of Mold Expres Posta led by Ms. Kalayanee Sirikul, Minister (economic affairs). Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Counsellor (economic affairs) also attended the meeting.
     The Thai Ambassador gave confidence to Mr. Fortuna that there exists a good opportunity for Thailand and Moldova, especially among the two countries’ businessmen in working together to push forwards the mutual benefits through their closer cooperation on trade and investment.
     Besides his participation in the 10th THAIFEX World Food of Asia Guest of the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand which will take place in Bangkok from May 21 - 25, 2014, Mr. Fortuna expressed his strong intention to help develop greater economic cooperation and trade ties with Thailand. This includes his commitment to support the Embassy’s planned project to visit Moldova by the end of 2014 or in 2015.
     Mr. Fortuna is considered one of a number of businessmen from Moldova who is interested in exploring business opportunity, as well as doing business with Thailand. According to him, Thai export products of food and textiles are potential and well responsive to the demand of Moldovan consumers.
