On 28 March 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, witnessed the launch of ANN-CIMB e-Paper Collaboration project, under which subscribers to any of the 4 e-newspapers, namely, The Nation (Thailand), The Star (Malaysia), Jakarta Post (Indonesia) and Daily Inquirer (the Philippines), can access the other 3 e-newspapers without extra cost. The project is also planned to be expanded to cover English newspapers in other ASEAN countries in the near future. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador congratulated representatives of the 4 newspapers for this unprecedented cooperation, for the collaboration between the media will be the most important connecting point for people-to-people contact within the ASEAN Community. H.E. the Ambassador also pointed out that the collaboration will be very useful for businesspeople who conduct their business activities across the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and students and researchers who wish to learn more about societies and cultures of their neighbours.
