The Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow supports the TCEB’s plan to promote the MICE industry in other Russian cities of economic potentials

H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation attended a meeting between 14 Thai Ambassadors in European countries and the executives of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) which was held in Brussels from 22 - 23 March 2014.
 
The Thai Ambassador expressed, during the meeting, his thankfulness to the TCEB for applying the recommendations of the Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow into their policy planning. This would reassure of a more effective scheme towards the promotion of Thailand’s MICE industry in Russia. 
 
In particular, the TCEB, instead of limiting their promotional activities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, had extended their promotion to other Russian main cities with high economic potentials and a significant number of people traveling to Thailand, namely, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.  
 
In this context, the Thai Ambassador reaffirmed his full support for the first phase of the TCEB’s planned activity of the MICE promotion in Russia to be organized within the period of September 2014 in Novosibirsk along with those in Moscow and St. Petersburg. 
 
The Thai Ambassador also reiterated that the TCEB gave her priority on the safety of the MICE Russian tourists in Thailand, especially on the prevention of any unforeseen incidents which occurred relatively often as it is currently of high concern among the Russian tourist community. This, in turn, would also help strengthen the confidence of the tourism opportunity in Thailand as a whole.
