On 28 March 2014, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, presided over the Conferment of the Royal Decoration of “Knight Commander of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand” upon Mr. Jörgen Schönning, former Counsellor of the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.  During his 3 years and 9 months assignment in Bangkok, Mr. Jörgen Schönning played an important role in promoting cordial relations and cooperation between Thailand and Sweden.  The ceremony was held at the Ambassador’s Residence and was attended by Mrs. Viyada Charanasomboon, wife of H.E. Ambassador Somchai, Mrs. Gabrielle Schönning Wollner, wife of Mr. Jörgen Schönning, the Embassy’s officials and representatives from Team Thailand in Sweden.  

     On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Somchai also hosted a luncheon in honour of 

Mr. Jörgen Schönning.
