At 13:00 hrs. Mr.Tharit Pengdit, Director General, Department of Special Investigation, briefed the press on the outcome of the meeting of the Center For Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) earlier in the day, gist as follows:

1. Following the Civil Court's ruling indicating that the demonstrations of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) at the PTT Public Company and the Ministry of Energy were unlawful, the Court  has also ordered the protesters to clear the way at the venue and to move all equipment from the site.

2. The CMPO condemned the PDRC leaders for leading their followers to blockade several embassies in Bangkok: China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and Australia. These actions have not only violated the law but also affected Thailand's foreign relations.

3. The CMPO has received a report that 2 innocent people had been shot. It was believed that bullets were fired from Lumpini Park where the PDRC demonstrations were taking place. The CMPO reiterated its warning that the protest sites are dangerous areas. The CMPO wished to encourage the public not to join or pass the protest areas because it could be dangerous, as seen from the cases of Mr. Yuem Nillar and the two bodies found near the protest sites.
