The congratulatory messages are as follows:

1. Message of Congratulations from the Thai Prime Minister to the Prime Minister of Mongolia

Excellency,

On behalf of the Government and the people of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and the people of Mongolia on the auspicious occasion of the 40th Anniversary of our diplomatic relations on March 5, 2014.

Since 1974, relations between our two countries have flourished. We have had several high-level visits and meetings. Our officials have been working closely together at various international fora in several areas of our common interest. The peoples of our two countries have visited each other in an ever increasing number. During my visit to Mongolia last year, we both agreed to build a new chapter of our relations with a common resolve to bringing them to their full potential in trade and investment, tourism, technical cooperation and culture. This year is an opportune time therefore for both Thailand and Mongolia to invigorate our relations and to realize our common vision and our common goals.

On this note, I wish to reaffirm the commitment of the Royal Thai Government to working closely with the Government of Mongolia to further advance and deepen our cooperation in all spheres.

Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

Yingluck Shinawatra

                  Prime Minister of Thailand

2. Message of Congratulations from the Thai Foreign Minister to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

Excellency,

On the auspicious occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and Mongolia on March 5, 2014, I have the honour to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you as well as to the Government and people of Mongolia.

Over the past four decades, relations between our two countries have expanded in most spheres and at all levels. Together, we have made significant achievements. Indeed, we have entered a new chapter in April 2013 during Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s historic official visit to Mongolia, the first ever by a sitting Thai Prime Minister.

Therefore, the year 2014 will not only be an auspicious opportunity to celebrate our important milestone and our achievements, but also a good opportunity to reflect and invigorate further our bilateral relations and cooperation. On this note, I wish to reaffirm our commitment to bringing our relations yet to a higher plane. I am confident that we share a common vision and a common resolve in this regard.

Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

Surapong Tovichakchaikul
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
