One day before the Saint Valentine’s Day, in the heart of Prague City, the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague and the Commercial Affairs Office of the Embassy, in cooperation with the Thai Chef Association and the Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association of the Czech Republic, proudly organized a Business Forum on Authentic Thai Cuisine: Taste of Thai in Europe, aiming at promoting the excellent taste of Thai cuisine and Thai food products in the Czech Republic and in Europe.
Many renowned Thai cuisine chefs from Thailand and from restaurants in Europe had been specially invited to the Forum, namely:
- Mr. Jamnong Nirungsan, President of Thai Chef Association
- Mr. Chumpol Jangprai, Best New Generation Iron Chef in Thai Cooking
- Mr. Henrik Yde-Andersen, Executive Chef of KIIN KIIN Thai Restaurant in Copenhagen (awarded with Michelin Star)
- Mrs. Duangporn Songvisava, Asia’s Best Female Chef 2013 and Mr. Dylan Jones of Bo.lan Thai Restaurant in Bangkok
- Mr. Kent Arnon Masanglong, Master Chef from Thai Chef Association
- Mr. Prin Polsuk of NAHM Thai Restaurant in Bangkok
The fantastic charm of Thai cuisine and the popularity of the above famous chefs had drawn attention of 200 participants to the Forum, made the Ballroom of Four Seasons Hotel Prague crowded with diplomatic corp., chefs, businessmen in the food and catering business, restaurant owners and hotels’ representatives. All the chefs not only eagerly shared their experiences and latest innovations in Thai cuisine; they also demonstrated the cooking of some authentic dishes which did impress the participants with the mouth-watering tasty flavors.
Moreover, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways and several Thai food products importers in the Czech Republic and in Europe also joined the exhibition at the event to comprehensively promote the culture, tourism and products of Thailand.
