     On 17 November 2013, the Office of Labour Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, hosted Loy Krathong Festival, also known as the Thai festival of lights, for the first time at Golden Mile Complex, Singapore. The event aimed to create a platform for Thai workers to celebrate together, with several activities such as the traditional Thai beauty pageant or Miss Noppamas, and Thai country music and cultural shows. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, delivered a speech to the Thai community in Singapore, and presented the winning prizes to Miss Noppamas. Also, the Royal Thai Embassy provided mobile consular services, distributing the 2013 edition of booklets for Thai nationals in Singapore.
