On 5 December 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy held a reception to celebrate the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King at Baltschug Kempinski Hotel in Moscow. Guests attending the Thai National Day reception, totaling more than 300, include high-ranking officials and representatives from the government of the Russian Federation, diplomatic corps in Russia, and eminent Russian business sectors. The Embassy has also set up the exhibition of His Majesty’s works throughout his life, the signing book, the display of Thai products and the exhibition of the Tourism Authorities of Thailand and the business information desk. In order to promote the Thai tourism, the Embassy also offered the guests with booklets about tourist attractions in Thailand.

On 1 December 2013, Thai citizens in Russia gathered at School No. 282 in Moscow to celebrate the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King. The event was adorned with the exhibition of His Majesty’s work. The Royal Thai Embassy also organized activities to promote Buddhism and the “Moscow’s Got Talent 2” competition for the Thais in Russia to participate. Purposes of the event are to honor His Majesty the King as well as to strengthen the close ties of the Thai community in Russia.
