On 17 November 2013, Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, attended the 1st Annual General Meeting of 2013 of the Thailand Business Council-Dubai and the Northern Emirates, organized by the council to present the annual report and performance of the council to its members, as well as outlined and discussed the upcoming events and strategies for the upcoming year.

     Thailand Business Council, also known as TBC, is a non-profit organization, which was established in 2010.  One of the council's main objectives is to be a supporting and information channel for the Thai Business community in Dubai, as well as for foreign investors who wish to find out more about investing in Thailand.  The past achievements of the council include networking with foreign business councils and related investment entities in Dubai and promoting the trade and investment ties through the attendance of Thai businesses in numerous trade and investment shows in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf countries.  Currently TBC comprises of 39 Corporate members, 41 Individual members and 3 Overseas members.
