On 15 November 2013, H.E. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, as well as officials from Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand and family, joined “ASEAN Gala Night 2013” at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was hosted by the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam, and co-organised by ASEAN diplomatic missions in Singapore.

“ASEAN Gala Night 2013” was participated by approximately 300 guests from diplomatic missions, government agencies, as well as private sectors from ASEAN countries and Dialogue Partners. Cultural performances were shown on stage, with Thailand showing “Loy Kratong Dance”, celebrating the country’s annual November festival. ASEAN food selections were also available that night for guests to enjoy. Thai food presented on that day included Pad Thai, Thai fish cakes, as well as Thai desserts.

In addition to cultural parts, guests of the ASEAN Gala Night 2013 also enjoyed the Lucky Draw session, whereby lucky winners receive prizes contributed by ASEAN diplomatic missions. In this regard, Royal Thai Embassy received kind support from Bangkok Airways Plc (Singapore Branch) for contributing two round-trip flight tickets from Singapore – Samui, as well as “Nara Thai Cuisine” at ION Department Store for contributing SGD150.- voucher as Lucky Draw prizes at the event.
