     On 18th November 2013, His Excellency Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand to Honduras with residence in Mexico, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency Porfirio Lobo Sosa, President of the Republic of Honduras, at the Presidential Palace in the country’s capital, Tegucigalpa. 
 
     The Thai Ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Kanyaratana Punkrasin, and by Ms. Jinjuta Manotham, first secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico. On the Honduran side, was also present the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Diana Diana Villadores Mejía.
 
     During the ceremony, Ambassador Chirachai conveyed the warm regards and best wishes from His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Excellency Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, to the Honduran President. He expressed his optimism and commitment to strengthen relations between Thailand and Honduras, particularly in areas of common interest such as trade, investment, tourism and sustainable development. H.E. Porfirio Lobo Sosa welcomed Ambassador Chirachai to Honduras and asked Ambassador Chirachai to convey his warm regards to His Majesty the King and his best wishes to the Thai people. He concurred with Ambassador Chirachai’s proposal to encourage exchanges of high-level visits and business delegations between the two countries. The President noted the current global trend of growing trans-Pacific links and stressed thus the importance of fostering better awareness and closer cooperation between Honduras and Thailand.
