On 1st November, 2013, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Consul-General, together with Ms. Benjamas Tanvetyanont, Deputy Consul-General, and Ms. Pratana Udommongkolkul, Consul, participated in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures’ Award Ceremony 2013, at the University of Hong Kong. On this occasion, the Consul-General presented the “Prize of the Royal Thai Consulate-General”, comprising a roundtrip Thai Airways ticket, to Hong Kong students who have excelled in their studies of the Thai language and culture.
This year, two students awarded the prize were Miss Leung Sze Nga and Mr. Tsui Kwok Kong Daniel. They will travel to Bangkok to attend an intensive Thai Language Course in Bangkok and join the study tour to enrich their mind with knowledge in Thai history, religion, art, culture, and socio-economic aspects. It is envisaged that the trip will impress upon them the beauty of Thainess and help create the network of Friends of Thailand, especially among the Hong Kong youth and students.
