On 29 October 2013 at 14.00 hrs., H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden and his wife, Viyada, as well as the Embassy’s staff visited Kolmarden Zoo to receive H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and H.M. Queen Silvia on the occasion of the royal visit to the Zoo.  

     On this auspicious occasion, H.M. the King and H.M. the Queen of Sweden visited the two Thai elephants, namely “Bua” and “Saonoi” which were the gifts from H.M. the King of Thailand to H.M. the King of Sweden in April 2004, and Saonoi’s new baby named “Namsai” which is the first baby elephant born in Sweden.  Having learnt from the Ambassador that H.M. the King and H.M. the Queen of Thailand’s health was in a good condition, H.M. the King and H.M. the Queen of Sweden were so delighted and wished to send their photographs taken with the elephants to H.M. the King of Thailand.
