During 11 – 13 October 2013, His Excellency Mr. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, will pay an Official Visit to Thailand, as guest of the Royal Thai Government. This visit of Premier Li Keqiang will be his first visit to Thailand after assuming his current position in March 2013.
Premier Li Keqiang will meet with Her Excellency Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, to discuss ways to enhance the Thailand – China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership by strengthening close cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. As Thailandis the current country coordinator for ASEAN-China relations, the two sides are expected to discuss also ways to promote further the ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, following up on the ASEAN-China Summit in Brunei Darussalam. Several bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed covering the areas of investment, infrastructure cooperation, science and technology, energy, marine cooperation, education and culture.
Apart from the official programme in Bangkok, the Chinese Premier will also travel to Chiang Mai to visit an agricultural OTOP project in the province.
