The Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, in collaboration with Dale Carnegie Training Thailand, organized the training course on “Accelerating Leadership Impact on Work Effectiveness” for Myanmar government officials at the ranks of middle-level management as well as staff from non-government organizations. Two sessions of the 2-day training were held during 23-24 September 2013 and 25-26 September 2013 to accommodate a larger number of participants.
This training course was second in the series of capacity building on leadership and management, with the first in-house training course successfully organized in September 2012.  This capacity building programme was initiated by the Royal Thai Embassy in response to the requests by several Myanmar authorities.  The Government of Myanmar and a number of non-profit organizations have expressed their strong determination to prepare their organizations and staff to effectively cope with the rapid changes and reforms currently taking place in Myanmar, as well as the integration into the ASEAN Economic Community.
Dale Carnegie is a global leader in training and career development, and is internationally recognized as the best in bringing out the best in people.  With its full support, the training course was specially designed for Myanmar personnel, taking into account its challenging positions at an important juncture.
The participants were satisfied and rated the training as successful.  A cooperative activity such as this for the benefits of Myanmar people symbolized the close and cordial relations between Thailand and Myanmar.
