Thailand is dismayed by the recent reports of alleged use of chemical weapons causing a large number of civilian casualties and injuries near Damascus.

Thailand joins the international community in supporting the efforts by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to conduct a prompt and impartial investigation into the alleged incident, and calls on the Government of Syria and the parties concerned to facilitate and allow immediate access for the UN investigation team.
