     On 11 July 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon organized the 4th Thai Ambassador and Consul-General to Indochina-Myanmar sub-region Meeting in Yangon. Apart from the Ambassadors and Consul-Generals to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, the Director of the Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) and representatives from the agencies concerned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also attended. The participants exchanged information and opinions about the major developments, trends and roles of Superpowers in the sub-region as well as the cooperation and coordination among the relevant Embassies and Consulate-Generals to effectively implement Thailand foreign policy aiming to further enhance bilateral ties with countries in the region
     After the meeting, the participants took a study tour at the Thilawa Port and Industrial Estate Project, which is one the three major Special Economic Zone projects in Myanmar being developed to boost the country’s economy.
