The Royal Thai Embassy at Moscow Supports Closer Relationship between Thai and Russian Parliamentarians

     The Royal Thai Embassy at Moscow continues to promote tightening friendship and encourage further cooperation between Parliamentarians of Thailand and Russia. On 4 July 2013, the Embassy scheduled appointments for M.L. Preeyapun Sridhavat, a senator and the Chairman of Thailand and Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group, and a Thai delegation to meet up with senators who are members of the Council of Federation Committee on Budget and Financial Markets and the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the morning half of the day, followed by a meeting with their counterpart, who is also a member of the State Duma Committee on Property, in the afternoon. Both sides exchanged opinions and discussed about ways and means to develop cooperation between Parliamentarians of the two countries in the future.
     In addition, the Ambassador of Thailand to the Russian Federation hosted a dinner for the Thai delegation on 6 July 2013 with aims to brief them about Thailand and Russia cooperation in all aspects and be informed, as well as offered recommendations, on outcomes of the two aforementioned meetings with the Russian side. In this regards, the Ambassador reiterated the Embassy’s utmost willingness and continual readiness to support Thai Parliamentarians’ activities and promote closer cooperation between Thai and Russian Parliaments.
