On 25 April 2013, H.E. Lt.Cdr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation, together with the officers from the Royal Thai Embassy, the Army Attaché, and the Navy Attaché, hosted a reception for Air Chief Marshall Sukumpol Suwanatat, Minister of Defence ot Thailand, his spouse, and other senior ranking military officers, including Admiral Surasak Rounroengrom, Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Air Forces, and General Sirichai Ditsakul, Assistant Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Army, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Defence of Thailand to the Russian Federation.

     The Ambassador had a discussion with the Minister of Defence on the ways forward to strengthen the ties between the Royal Thai Armed Force and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This same subject was also raised by the Minister of Defence during his meeting with high-ranking officials of the Russian Federation.
