On Friday 15 March 2013, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Consul-General, together with Mrs. Panpimon Chunyanuwat, Director-General of Department of Agriculture Extension, attended the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Flower Show 2013 at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. This year, Hong Kong Flower Show 2013 lasts from 15-24 March 2013 under the theme of “Dendrobium orchid”. The Ceremony was also attended by Mrs. Regina Leung Tong Ching-yee, spouse of the Chief Executive, Mr. Jasper Tsang, President of the Legislative Council, Ms. Florence Hui, Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs, and Mrs. Betty Fung Director of Leisure and Cultural Services. The Royal Thai Consulate-General, in cooperation with Department of Agriculture Extension, has participated to the Hong Kong Flower Show for the first time to showcase Thai orchids. Thailand’s booth received great attention and won the “Great Award of Unique Feature” prize.
