On 27 February 2013, Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai, was granted an audience with H.H Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, on the occasion of assuming his new position in Dubai.

The Crown Prince and Consul-General discussed the opportunities to collaborate in various fields, particularly tourism, as Umm Al Quwain possesses unique natural beauty and landscape.  Both parties expressed satisfaction to the positive relations between Thailand and the UAE and are keen to further explore and promote potential development between Thailand and Umm Al Quwain.
