On 22 January 2013, at 10.30 hrs., H.E. Mr. Anuson Chinvanno, Ambassador of Thailand, together with the Embassy’s staff and members of Team Thailand, attended the Conferment Ceremony of an Honorary Doctorate in Educational Administration by Naresuan University on H.E. Professor Dr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in recognition of his efforts to develop the economy of Vietnam through advancing technology and higher education in the country. During the Ceremony, Professor Dr. Krasae Chanawongse, Chair of Naresuan University Council, read the Citation and Professor Dr. Sujin Jinahyon, President of Naresuan University, presented the Degree Certificate to the Deputy Prime Minister. The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Pham Vu Luan, Minister of Education and Training, H.E. Mr. Pham Quang Vinh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Government Office, Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc, Chairman of Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association and Presidents and senior officials from the Vietnamese government and universities.

In the evening of the same day, the Ambassador hosted dinner in honour of Professor Dr. Krasae Chanawongse, Chair of Naresuan University Council, and his delegation at the Ambassador’s Residence.
