On 20 February 2013, Dr. Wilawan Juengprasert (M.D.), Director General, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand along with the Thai delegation visited Nepal to follow up on the construction of the General Hospital by the Royal Thai Government in Lumbini. The visit was followed by site inspection and a meeting with Acharya Karma Sangbo Sherpa, Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) to discuss on the development of the project and follow up on the final decision of LDT to grant a plot of land to the Royal Thai Government to construct the abovementioned General Hospital. Officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy also joined the said programmes.
