In response to a question from the press, Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Thailand welcomes the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to convene a national consensus dialogue to which all political parties are invited. As a close friend of Bahrain, Thailand fully supports this effort which is a significant step taken by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve reform and reconciliation which will bring about long term stability to the country and its people.
