On 24 January 2013 Dr. ChaiyongSatjipanon, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, welcomed a delegation of 22 teachers and 5th grade students from H.D. Cooke School to the Royal Thai Embassy.  During the visit, the studentshad an opportunity to participate in activities to learn about Thailand and Thai culture, including learning how to make “Som Tum,” enjoying Thai food and watching a famous Thai cartoon called “KanKloy.”. These activities are part of the Embassy Adoption Program, underwhich the Royal Thai Embassy cooperates with the Washington Performing Arts Society and DC Public Schools.
