H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbunjong, Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy at Moscow attended the luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Igor Morgulov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, in the occasion 115th Anniversary of Thailand-Russia diplomatic relations, on 26 December 2012, of which Director, Deputy Director, and officials of the Asia III Department also participated.

     The luncheon symbolises how much Russia has attached importance to the close and long-lasting friendship between the two countries and is a good stepping stone in strengthening the relationship and developing cooperation in all areas. In this regard, the Ambassador and the Deputy Foreign Minister discussed a diverse range of issues ranging from the implementation of the bilateral meeting between Thai Prime Minister and Russian President during the APEC Summit 2012 in September, the 5th Thailand-Russia Joint Committee, to the high-level official visits next year, cooperation from education, culture, tourism, to ASEAN-Russia, including past activities organised in the past year.

     Activities organised by the Royal Thai Embassy at Moscow in the occasion 115th Anniversary of Thailand-Russia diplomatic relations include Royal visit of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, opening ceremonies of the first two “Thai Rooms” in Russia at the St. Petersburg State University and Moscow State University, Muay Thai projects in Russia, participation of Thai traditional dance troops in various festivals in Russia, Thai food cooking class and Thai-style fruit and vegetable carving demonstration, and partaking of famous Thai designers at Moscow Fashion Week.
