On 12 May 2010, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya briefed the diplomatic corps and foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand on the current political situation in Thailand in connection with the ongoing demonstrations by the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD). He was joined by Mr. Kiat Sittheeamorn, President of the Office of the Thai Trade Representative. A total of 70 participants from various diplomatic missions and international organisations as well as representatives of the foreign chambers of commerce attended the event.
