On 28 April 2008, Mr. Christopher A. Padilla, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade of the U.S., paid a courtesy call on Mr. Noppadon Pattama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides discussed a wide range of issues, including Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Compulsory Licensing (CL), Thailands designation on the Priority Watch List (PWL) under the Special 301, the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), as well as overall bilateral relations between Thailand and the U.S.
