On 29 November 2007, Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, presided over a reception at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangkok. Held to launch Rajaphruek and Bunga Raya: 50 Years of Everlasting Friendship between Thailand and Malaysia 1957-2007, a commemorative book marking the close ties between neighbors, the event was well attended by Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand, President of Thai-Malaysian Association, representatives from diplomatic missions and international organizations, businessmen, scholars, Foreign Ministrys officials and media.
