On 24 August 2007, Mr. Hasyim Muzadi, President of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Nitya Pibulsonggram, during his visit to Thailand under the exchange program of Islamic leaders between Thailand and Indonesia, in order to promote understanding of Indonesian Moderate Muslim on the Royal Thai Governments policies to resolve the problems in Southern Border provinces through peaceful means.
