On 14 December 2019 Ms. Karntimon Ruksakiati, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Norway, visited Thailand Non-formal and Informal Education Learning Centre in østfold, which is located in the city of Moss, approximately 63 kilometres from Oslo. The Centre was found and administrated by the Association “Thai/NORSKSPRAK-OG KULTURFORENING”. It provides Thai language and culture classes to children, youths and Norwegians who are interested as well as Norwegian language and culture classes for Thais and youths who followed their parents to live in Norway, in order to help them adjust themselves to new culture and environment. Ambassador took this opportunity to discuss with the Board of the Association and volunteer teachers on ways of cooperation, where the Embassy could support, in order to develop and expand Thai language and culture in Norway. Ambassador reiterated that the Thai community is the Embassy’s extension to promote sustainable people-to-people relations between Thailand and Norway. Ambassador also took part in Christmas activities with children and youths and took the opportunity to follow up living of the Thai community there.
