On 2 May 2025, His Excellency Mr. Sugiono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, will pay an official visit to Thailand and co-chair the 10th Joint Commission Meeting (JC) between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Indonesia with H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. This visit will be part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Indonesia this year.

At the 10th JC Meeting, both sides will review and follow up on overall cooperation and discuss the future direction of bilateral relations between Thailand and Indonesia, including political and security, economic cooperation, social and cultural cooperation, development and technical cooperation, and multilateral cooperation. In addition, this visit is also intended as a preparation for the upcoming official visit to Thailand by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, during which both sides plan to announce the elevation of relations between the two countries.
