On 11 September 2019, Mr. Noppadol Dej-Udom, Chief Sustainability Officer of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) led a group of 20 young Thai leaders who will participate, under CP Group’s sponsorship, in the One Young World Summit 2019, which will be held during 22 – 25 October 2019 in London, the United Kingdom, to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. 
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech on the role of sustainability in foreign affairs which is in line with theme of Thailand’s 2019 ASEAN chairmanship “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability”. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches importance and plays an active role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Minister of Foreign Affairs mentioned on global issues with relevance to the One Young World Summit’s themes such as climate change and plastic waste especially marine debris. Moreover, the Summit is a good opportunity to establish networking among foreign participants. During Q&A session, the young leaders also requested for information on topics of interest such as human rights, pollution, and trade war which will be useful for the above-mentioned Summit.
 
One Young World Summit is held annually in different countries bringing young leaders between the ages of 18–30 years old from around the world to meet and share experiences among themselves as well as exchange views with invited international leaders. The event aims to enhance capacity of and networking among the world’s future leaders in order to create a positive change in the world.
