On 8 August 2019, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland together with her spouse Dr. Tanongsak Sahussarungsi and officials and staffs of the Embassy attended the ASEAN Day event hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Poland who currently chairs the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia. Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia delivered the welcoming and opening remarks of the ceremony.

The ASEAN Day event which also includes ASEAN flag-raising ceremony is an important opportunity to promote awareness of ASEAN and its dynamism throughout 52 years. The event was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Ambassadors and representatives of ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners, as well as academia and media representatives.

On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi delivered remarks on behalf of the Kingdom of Thailand in the capacity of ASEAN’s Chair. The remarks highlights Thailand’s priority to advance the theme “Partnership for Sustainability” to promote sustainability in all dimensions, concrete outcomes and progress over the period of 8 months, and efforts to enhance partnerships including, the partnership between ASEAN and the European Union.
