H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, issued a message of condolence to H.E. Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, on the passing away of H.E. Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, former Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India on 6 August 2019 as follows:

Excellency,

                 I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Her Excellency Sushma Swaraj, former Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India. On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I would like to convey my deepest condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to her bereaved family, friends and colleagues for this irreparable loss.

                 During her tenure as External Affairs Minister, Her Excellency Sushma Swaraj contributed greatly not only to the promotion of regional security
and stability but also to the fostering of Thailand-India relations. I can still vividly recall our open and candid discussion last year on ways to further deepen our cooperation both at the bilateral and regional levels. She will always be remembered for her tireless devotion and dedication to her fellow countrymen and the Republic of India. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
