On 22 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with Ambassador Robert F. Godec, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, joined by Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, and Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, especially through high-level engagements between the two countries, and exchanged views on the recent developments in the region, including situation in Myanmar.
