Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs reiterated the importance of maintaining the dynamism of Thailand - United Kingdom relations, as an old friend and ally of Thailand and discussed COVID-19 situation, and cooperation on public health and climate change, with the Minister of State (for Asia) of the United Kingdom.

On 2 February 2021, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a virtual meeting with H.E. Mr. Nigel Adams, Minister of State (for Asia) of the United Kingdom. Both sides discussed various issues including COVID-19 and public health cooperation; cooperation on climate change, in particular on the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), scheduled to be held in November 2021 under the presidency of the United Kingdom; as well as the 4th Thailand - United Kingdom Strategic Dialogue (SD), to be hosted by the United Kingdom. Both sides also exchanged views on recent developments in the region.

On this occasion, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs reiterated the importance of maintaining the dynamism of Thailand-United Kingdom relations, as an old friend and ally of Thailand, through different channels of communication, be they virtual or physical meetings when the COVID-19 situation subsides.
