On 21 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mrs. Catherine West, Minister for the Indo-Pacific of the Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom, during the 5th Thailand - United Kingdom Strategic Dialogue.

Both sides discussed areas of cooperation and topics of mutual interest under the Thailand–United Kingdom Strategic Partnership, including enhancing trade value and promoting investment, and how to make the most of the strong trade partnership between the two countries. This would pave the way for the potential launch of negotiations on a Thailand - United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the future. They discussed other areas of cooperation as well, such as climate change, education, digital economy, as well as science and technology. The two sides also exchanged views on geopolitical developments and the current global political and economic challenges.

In addition, both sides signed the Joint Statement on the Occasion of the 5th Strategic Dialogue between the Kingdom of Thailand and the United Kingdom as the outcome document at the conclusion of the Dialogue.
