Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand meets with the Chair of Business at OECD on the sidelines of the OECD MCM in Paris

On 3 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with Mr. Rick Johnston, Chair of Business at OECD (BIAC), on the sidelines of the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) in Paris.
The Vice Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s strong commitment to OECD accession, which is a national priority. He noted that accession would help enhance Thailand’s competitiveness, improve the business and investment environment, and strengthen overall confidence in Thailand.
Both sides also discussed the role of the private sector in the OECD accession process, and agreed that getting private sector involvement early on in the accession process would be beneficial.
On this occasion, Business at OECD expressed its readiness to support Thailand’s accession efforts. #TH2OECD
