The Honorable Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State, will pay an official visit to Thailand as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand during 9-10 July 2022. H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand will hold a bilateral meeting and host a luncheon in honour of the Secretary of State. On this occasion, Secretary Blinken will also pay a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand.

In addition, Secretary Blinken is scheduled to visit the Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Operations Center of the Department of Disease Control and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s Welfare Protection Centre for Victims of Trafficking in Pathum Thani Province, which highlights the importance of Thailand – U.S. partnership in advancing public health as well as combating human trafficking.

This visit is Secretary Blinken’s first official trip to Thailand since assuming the office and an opportunity for both countries to further enhance their strategic alliance and partnership as well as promote closer cooperation in multi-faceted areas based on shared values and mutual benefits of both countries and the region.
