On 26 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th Session of the General Assembly (PGA80). The PGA80 commended Thailand’s active contribution to the UN, particularly through Thailand’s chairmanship of the Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural) of UNGA80 and as the host country of ESCAP. In this spirit, the Minister expressed Thailand’s readiness to further strengthen the partnership between Thailand and the UN to advance issues prioritized by the PGA80, including the UN reform.

H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock is a former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany and the fifth woman to be elected as PGA.
