On 15 January 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the 5th batch of humanitarian assistance from Thailand to the Ukrainian people through the Thai Red Cross Society, worth 3 million baht (approximately 86,300 USD).

Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruji, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, presented this contribution to H.E. Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society, at the Thai Red Cross Society Headquarter. Mr. Viktor Semenov, Charge d' Affaires a.i., Embassy of Ukraine, was also in attendence. This humanitarian assistance will be forwarded to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society to procure power generators, aiming to mitigate the impact of the winter season’s weather amidst the ongoing conflict.

From the outset, Thailand has continuously supported humanitarian assistance for Ukraine through various channels, including the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Thai Red Cross Society, and the Polish Red Cross, with a total value of humanitarian aid amounting to 23 million baht (approximately 670,000 USD). Thailand will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict.
