On 22 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, led the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand, along with their spouses, in a merit-making ceremony dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, Queen Consort of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII). The ceremony was held to commemorate the centennial celebration of the Queen’ s legacy honored by the United Nations Education, Science, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

At the UNESCO’s General Conference on 13 November 2025, it adopted            
a resolution recognizing the centennial commemoration of Her Majesty’s royal contributions and legacy in the fields of education, sustainable social development, and gender equality.
