On 22 April 2021, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York held the ceremony to receive 13 Thai antiquities from the District Attorney of New York County and the Homeland Security Investigations. The ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests including H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States of America, H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, Mr. Fabio Chinda, Consul-General of Thailand in New York, Mr. Mungkorn Pratoomkaew, Consul-General of Thailand in Los Angles, Mr. Nitin Savur, First Assistant District Attorney of New York County, Mr. Erik Rosenblatt, Deputy Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations and Colonel Matthew Bogdanos, Chief of Antiquities Trafficking Unit.

The hand-over ceremony is considered a historic mission with the successful return of items of national heritage to Thailand. It also serves as another example of close collaboration between Thailand and the United States and would lead to future cooperation on the return of other artifacts to Thailand.
