On 23 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichakij, Ambassador of Thailand, met with Mr. Ricardo Zaldumbide Ceceña, President of the Mexican Business Council (COMCE), Queretaro State, on the occasion of his visit to Queretaro on 22-24 September 2021 as part of the Royal Thai Embassy’s Economic Roadshow Project.

In this occasion, the Ambassador was informed about the economic potentials of the State of Queretaro, which is the one of the fastest growing states in Mexico, with an average of 5.7 percent per year.

Queretaro also has important industries especially aerospace and automotive sectors, making Queretaro Mexico’s leading production base of aerospace components and auto parts. There are 36 industrial parks and a number of technology and research centers in Querétaro. These factors make Queretaro a popular destination for foreign investors. Mr. Ricardo views that the Thai private sector may consider investing in areas such as automotive parts and logistics.

Prior to his arrival to Queretaro on 22 September 2021, the Ambassador also attended the inauguration ceremony of Mexican Aerospace Fair-FAMEX 2021 at the Santa Lucia Military Airbase in the Estado de Mexico State, which was presided over by the President of Mexico.
