On 26 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, co-chaired the opening session of the Thai-Saudi Business Forum, which was co-organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Saudi - Thai Business Council at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center. The event aimed to strengthen Thailand - Saudi Arabia trade and investment cooperation in various sectors with strong growth potential.

The Director-General also had a meeting with business delegations from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait attending the THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2026, Asia’s largest food and beverage trade exhibition. Also in attendance were the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Thailand and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bangkok.
