Director-General of European Affairs Department co-chairs the 3rd Thailand - Georgia Political Consultations in Tbilisi

On 9 September 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, co-chaired the 3rd Thailand - Georgia Political Consultations, with Mr. Karlo Sikharulidze, Director-General of the Department of Global Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, in Tbilisi.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Georgia in various fields, including exchanges of high-level visits, cooperation on economic, trade, investment, tourism, science and technology, and agriculture, as well as the review of pending bilateral agreements. They also discussed cooperation within multilateral frameworks, and shared views on regional developments in their respective regions.

In addition, the Director-General held discussions with Mr. Givi Zedelashvili, Head of Trade Development and International Economic Relations Department, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. They discussed ways to strengthen trade and economic relations, investment opportunities, cooperation in the tourism and services sector, as well as cooperation on logistics and connectivity.
