On 13 May 2026, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys assigned Ms. Pittara Navarat, Minister Counsellor, to welcome a delegation from the Naval War College, led by Rear Admiral Yutthana Aksornsri, at the Embassy on the occasion of the delegation’s study visit to Sweden.

Minister Counsellor Pittara gave a briefing to the delegation on Thailand–Sweden relations, which have continued for over 158 years and remain strong and comprehensive across all dimensions, including royal relations, political affairs, defence, economy and investment, as well as people-to-people ties. The elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, along with the Embassy’s key projects, missions, and activities were also main topics of discussion.

In addition, the delegation engaged in discussions and exchanged views on Sweden’s strengths that Thailand could adapt and apply, cooperation in various fields between Thailand and Sweden, and the direction of Sweden’s political and foreign policies.
